David Jamin – French painter

David Jamin was born on November 24, 1970, in Nîmes, France. Throughout his artistic journey, he has explored numerous themes, with a strong focus on the human experience. Under the concept of "INTROPORTRAIT," he captures the sensitive and emotional depth of individuals.

After spending fifteen years on the Côte d’Opale, where his first studio was in Hames-Boucres, he settled permanently in Uzès in 2013. His works are exhibited in numerous galleries across France and internationally, including Europe, the United States, South Korea, China, and Mexico.

Jamin’s art reflects his life, shaped by encounters and travels. His paintings convey deep sincerity, often moving viewers. Over the years, his artistic evolution has revealed both sensitivity and strength, hallmarks of his unique style.

His recognition began in 1997, with exhibitions earning him distinctions and a place in prestigious galleries. In 2013, the city of Calais acquired his painting Les Bourgeois de Calais – La Stupeur, now displayed in the Town Hall.

The theme of motherhood frequently appears in his work, as seen in Maternité Bleue, which found a permanent home in the Saint Omer Church in Bouquehault, and another Maternité housed in the Clinique Jules Verne in Nantes.
